The director of Flash Andy Muschietti recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the film featuring him directing George Clooney, who returns to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Clooney appeared at the end of the movie when Barry Allen realized he didn’t end up in the same universe he came from, but I guess it was close enough. It was fun seeing Clooney back as Bruce Wayne, but I guess that’s a done deal. I don’t expect to see Clooney as Batman again.
The Flash didn’t do very well at the box office and fell below expectations, so I don’t think we’ll ever see its story continue in a sequel. I’m sure James Gunn has different plans as he hired Muschietti to direct the Batman: The Brave and the Bold movie.
If they had managed to make a sequel, though, I wonder if they would have played more with Clooney’s version of Batman. Personally I think they included Clooney at the end because they knew the movie wouldn’t have a sequel.
