Actor, musician and professional wrestler Bad bunnythat is to say Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was pretty excited a year ago when it was announced that he would be playing the role of Marvel/Sony superhero El Muerto. The character is an enigmatic fighter who comes from a lineage of Luchadores, all empowered by a mystical mask.
Bad Bunny was excited to take on the role, but a few months ago Sony decided to pull the project. Then it was reported that the studio was moving forward with the film without the star. Things have been quiet the past few months, but Bad Bunny is now speaking openly about the loss, in a way.
When asked in a recent interview with Vanity Fair what happened with the role, he remained silent and his publicist spoke up, saying, “Next question.” The actor then responded: “I don’t know what to say.” He defined the issue as “sensitive” and his press secretary intervened again: “Obviously it is out of the question”.
Obviously it’s a sensitive topic, and it’s a shame he won’t get to star in the movie he was so excited about.
Bad Bunny was already present in the film High speed trainand stars in the biographical wrestling drama Cassanderavailable on Amazon from September 22nd.
