Bill Pullmann (While you were sleeping, Spaceballs, independence Day) will play the deplorable Alex Murdaugh in the upcoming Lifetime Original Movie Murdaugh Murders: The Movie. The film marks the network’s 500th original film and headlines Ripped From the Headlines’ fall lineup.
For the milestone, Lifetime will hold a two-night event for Murdaugh Murders: The Movieled by Bill Pullman as Alex Murdaugh, the powerful South Carolina lawyer, who is revealed to be living a secret life full of crime.
The case made headlines recently when Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of the double murder of his wife and son in March. Netflix docuseries Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal debuted in February, as the case was still ongoing. A second season will arrive on the streaming service on September 22.
Lifetime’s Ripped From the Headlines kicks off on September 16 and will debut every Saturday at 8pm through October 28. Luke Macfarlane, Melissa Joan Hart, Sarah Drew, Meagan Good AND Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix. All the films were shot before the SAG-AFTRA strike.
