Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming pharmaceutical crime film Pain dealerswhat stars Chris Evans AND Emily Blunt. In recent years, many projects have come out that focus on how evil the pharmaceutical industry is. They certainly tell interesting and heartbreaking stories.
In this film, “Liza Drake (Blunt) is a working-class single mom who just lost her job and is on her last legs. A chance encounter with pharmaceutical sales rep Pete Brenner (Evans) sets her on an upward trajectory financially but on a dubious ethical path as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme. Dealing with her increasingly upset head (Andy Garcia), your daughter’s worsening medical condition (Chloe Coleman), and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing forces Liza to examine her choices. Pain Hustlers is a sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others out of greed.
Pain Hustlers is directed by Harry Potter franchise manager David Yates and produced by Lawrence GreyHe is also the protagonist Jay Duplass, Brian d’Arcy James, Amit Shah, Aubrey DollarAND Willie Raysor.
The film is inspired by Evan Hughes’ New York Times article of the same name and will be released in select theaters on October 20 and on Netflix on October 27.
