Taylor Sheridan and Jeremy Renner’s MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN has been renewed for a third season at Paramount+

Paramount+ is officially moving forward with Season 3 of Taylor Sheridan’S Mayor of Kingtownand we can expect Jeremy Renner to return as Mike McLusky. Renner previously sparked speculation about his return when he shared character photos of him on the series with the caption, “Could it be time to start mental preparation for 3?”

As you know, Renner had gone through a long recovery process after he was seriously injured in a snowplow accident in January in which he broke more than 30 bones in his body. His recovery was truly amazing.

The series follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the incarceration business is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series offers a gritty look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a city that has neither.

When previously talking about the future of the series, the showrunner Hugh Dillon he said, “Taylor and I have more ideas for more seasons.” As of right now, with Renner set to return, it looks like they’ll get to tell as much story as they’ve planned. It’s good to see that Renner is getting back to work after the craziness he went through.
