Warner Bros. has released a behind the scenes video of The flash offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Dark Flash’s battle scene at the end of the film. It also highlights the nightmarish design of Dark Flash, which was all practically done.
Director Andy Muschietti analyzes the scene and explains why he wanted Dark Flash to be represented through practical effects instead of CGI, explaining that he wanted the villain to have a tangible presence in the film.
“That’s the conclusion of the storyline and it’s big and bombastic and very emotional. I wanted Dark Flash to be a monster, not only psychologically but also visually. There was a lot of work from the costume department in combination with the stunts, makeup, hairdos and the actors, of course.
The clip also shows various scenes of Dark Flash and Barry Allen fighting on a stage, and also shares some concept art showing some alternate character designs. Enjoy the video!
