Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx (Ray, Spider-Man: No way home) will play God in the film Not another church moviealongside the Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke (The wrestler, Iron man 2), who will play the Devil. The comedy comes from the writer-director Johnny Mack (Wild and out), who steers alongside James Michael Cummings.
The film was shot prior to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and is scheduled for a theatrical release, as well as a fall/winter release this year. Kevin Daniels leads the ensemble, with Vivica A. Fox, Tisha Campbell, Jasmine boy, Kyla Pratt AND Lamorne Morris completing it.
The film is presented as “a wild ride through the fabulous world of Taylor Pharry (Daniels), an ambitious young man who has been given a holy mission by God himself: to tell the stories of his family and to inspire his community. His only concern? His family and his community. What he doesn’t know is that the Devil has plans for him.”
Producer James Michael Cummings He said in a statement: “We are thrilled to have Mr. Foxx a part of this hilarious comedy and to bring his incredible talent to the role of God, working with Foxx and Johnny Mack has been such a blessing.
