David Tennant teases that his 14th Doctor will be different from the 10th in DOCTOR WHO

We discovered last fall that the beloved 10th Doctor, David Tennantwill return to the title role in the next season of Doctor who on the BBC. While fans are excited to see him return to the role, Tennant jokes that he won’t be exactly the same guy we knew him in his original series.

In a recent interview with Doctor Who Magazine (via Radio Times/CB), Tennant teased that his take on the Fourteenth Doctor won’t have quite the same characterization as his previous Tenth Doctor:

“The Doctor has been three different people in between, so I’m not necessarily the same version of the Doctor I was before. I’m not the Tenth Doctor now, I’m the Fourteenth. Well, strictly speaking we don’t” We don’t know which one anymore the actual number, right?”

Tennant is expected to reprise his role in a series of three Doctor who specials, linked to the 60th anniversary of the BBC. Catherine Tate she will also reprise the role of one of the Tenth Doctor’s companions, Donna Noble.

Tennant said of his return:

“It was like getting a really lovely present. It was joyful, it was a lot of fun. It was a very happy and joyful time 15 years ago, and going back to that might have been, well, who knows? Could have been I felt uncomfortable, maybe it would have been difficult, maybe I wouldn’t have been able to run that fast. But we had a great time. Russell T. Davies returned to run the show, it seemed like we were never apart.

Sex education AND Barbie star Ncuti Gatwa will play the Fifteenth Doctor in the upcoming 60th anniversary season of Doctor whowhich will be presented by the returning alum of the series Russell T. Davies. The titles of the three specials, which will air in November, are “The Star Beast”, “Wild Blue Yonder” and “The Giggle”.
