Blue Beetle director Angelo Manuel Soto he’s already on his next project, having just signed on to direct Buddy’s action flick The demolition crew. The MGM film was written by Jonathan Tropper (Banshees, The Adam Project, Warrior) before the WGA strike.
Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy franchise) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman and the lost kingdom) are both in talks to star in the film, as it was their pitch to MGM after a four-bid battle in Fall 2021 that kickstarted the project.
Bautista has been seen this year M. Night Shyamalan’S Knock on the boothas well as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which concluded his stint in the MCU as Drax the Destroyer. Momoa played the villain Dante in Uni’s Fast X and next will be seen in the long-awaited sequel from Warner Bros Aquaman and the lost kingdomreleased on December 20th.
