STAR WARS: VISIONS One-Shot coming to Marvel Comics, here are some drawings and details

Famous comic creator Peach momoko is developing a new Star Wars story for Marvel Comics, and this is a Star Wars: Visions one-shot for the enjoyment of fans. Momoko will write and do the art for an original story that she came up with.

Currently titled Star Wars: Visions – Peach Momoko #1“The issue will be the first in a new series of stories from comic creators unrelated to previous ones Star Wars storytelling, very much in the spirit of Lucasfilm’s animated anthology of the same name.

The story picks up “centuries after the death of a prominent Sith Lord, with a cult called the Ankok that has grown up around the infamous minion of the dark side. Tata, leader of the cult, believes he is the rightful successor of this Sith Lord. Meanwhile, a girl named Kako and her loyal Gel droid are destined to face this new evil.

Momoko spoke to StarWars.com about her project, saying, “I really like thinking about how to tell my version of Star Warswhile keeping in mind the concepts of the original universe”

He went on to reveal another character in the story called Popo, who follows Kako and Gel on their adventure. The character wasn’t originally created for this Star Wars: Visions story, and Momoko explained, “I drew Popo a couple of years ago just for fun and I’ve always wanted to use her in a comic. I felt this was the perfect opportunity.

The creator went on to talk about the story she wanted to tell, saying, “I wanted to tell a story about a cult. And I’ve heard that in the Star Wars universe, the dark side was something that ties into when a human being, or something living, loses itself and then wants to rely on believing in something to have any hope of living. I think falling to the dark side is nothing to be ashamed of. It could save you. Sometimes the dark side can help overcome trauma and fear. In the story, Ankok’s belief is that the time for light to defeat darkness is over. It’s time to accept the darkness. And Tata is only using the dark side to help those in need of a ‘dark light’.”

Momoko has already worked Star Wars projects like Star Wars: Darth Vader: black, white and redand a series of variant covers created for Women’s History Month.
