WILD WEST COW-BOYS OF MOO MESA returns as an animated series and toy line

Thanks to The Nacelle Company, we will see an action figure and animated series revival of the 90s animated series, Wild West Cow-Boys of Moo Mesa. This is the same company that is currently undergoing a relaunch Biker mice from Mars AND Robotic force. Ryan Reynolds is helping them with Biker mice from Mars.

The cartoon series was originally created by comic book artist Ryan Brown and ran for 26 episodes in 1992. Nacelle has acquired the property and will be producing a new animated series along with a new line of action figures.

This is one of those 90s shows that I used to know about, but never really liked. The official story description reads: “According to the story, a radiated comet struck the western plains in the late 19th century creating a cloud-shrouded, miles-high mesa. The ‘cow encountered’ and ‘evolved’ into a ‘bovipomorphic’ state.

Inspired by old tales of the Wild West, “this new cattle community has developed to the point where it emulates the lifestyle of that era, including in-demand pimps and corrupt sheriffs. The lawbreakers were too much for Cowtown’s corrupt regulators (namely Mayor Oscar Bulloney and Sheriff Terrorbull) to handle alone. Aiding them, whether they wanted to or not, was a group of peacekeepers known as the COW-Boys (the COW part is short for “Code Of the West”). Led by Marshal Moo Montana, the COW-Boys also included Dakota Dude and the Cowlorado Kid. Marshal Moo Montana and his deputies had their hands full with various pimps and outlaw bands that plagued the otherwise peaceful city.”

Nacelle founder and CEO Brian Volk-Weiss said in a statement, “The feeling of talking to someone whose name I saw on TV almost every day as a kid, let alone making a deal with them, is one of the biggest parts of my work. Ryan Brown is a creative genius and a special man, and we’re honored that he trusted us with Moo Mesa.”

Brown said, “I am extremely fortunate and incredibly honored that the Nacelle Company is continuing the adventures of my Wild West COW-Boys of Moo Mesa. I am very excited to see what Brian and his team have in store for the future of Marshal Moo.” Montana and the COW-Boys on Moo Mesa! Whatever it is, I know the franchise is in expert hands. I can’t wait!”

It should be fun to see how all these The Nacelle Company projects turn out! It’s great that they are reviving these old properties. Only time will tell if there’s an audience out there who will tune in to watch and buy the toys.
