Teamsters Natives Agree with AMPTP for New Contract Covering Casting Professionals in LA and NYC

A possible agreement has been reached on a new three-year contract that includes casting directors and assistant casting directors in Los Angeles and New York.

The agreement was reached Tuesday night after two months of negotiations between the Motion Picture and Television Alliance and Hollywood Teamsters Local 399 and New York Teamsters Local 817. Union leaders said the details of the deal will be shared with their members later this week.

The union’s negotiating committee recommends ratifying, and a digital briefing will be held on May 22 in Los Angeles and New York where members working under the deal will have the opportunity to vote on the deal.
