Ron Howard’s First Animated Movie ‘The Shrinking Of Treehorn’ Heads To Netflix

Ron Howard’s first animated film, reduce wooden hornAcquired by Netflix, Deadline can confirm.

Described as a New York holiday musical, the new film is based on the same 1971 children’s book by Florence Paris Heide, illustrated by Edward Gore. The story is about Trehorn, a boy who one day begins to shrink, although his parents barely notice him.

Rob Liber (peter rabbit) adapted the script for the project originally created at Paramount in 2019. It is co-produced by Howard’s Imagine Entertainment and Australian Animal Logic.
