Searchlight Pictures released a trailer for its drama today Good luck, Big Lion.Starring Emma Thompson (ᲛActually love) and Daryl McCormack (sharp blind), will be released exclusively on Hulu Original in the US starting June 17.
Director Sophie Hyde’s film tells the story of Nancy Stokes (Thompson), who lives a full life. As a retired and widowed teacher, she realizes she’s missing something she’s been avoiding: a satisfying sexual experience. She decides to do something about it with a plan involving an unnamed hotel room and a young sex worker who calls herself Leo Grande (McCormack). Leo is confident, confident and proud to be good at his job. He also seems to care about Nancy, which is one of the things that surprises him about being together.
Good luck, Big Lion. The premiere was critically acclaimed at Sundance 2022 and was purchased from the festival by Searchlight for an estimated $7.5 million. It is co-produced by Katie Brand, who is co-producer with Debbie Gray and Adrian Politowski, Hyde, Julian Glick, Mark Gooder, Alison Thompson, Nadia Khamlich, Nessa McGill and Martin Metz.
