I have here an episode of Pitch Meeting from Ryan George which gives us a fun look at how Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny must have been pitched to Disney. While the film isn’t perfect and isn’t as good as the original trilogy, I still enjoyed the story and enjoyed seeing Harrison Ford back in action as Indiana Jones one last time. But, no matter what you think about this movie, whether you liked it or not this video is sure to make you laugh!
What if an older Indiana Jones returns for one last big adventure? Wouldn’t he be crazy? Well that’s no wonder anymore, because that movie came out 15 years ago and it was called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. But wait, what if an older Indiana Jones returns AGAIN for one last big adventure? Ahhh well, if that sounds like a good time, you’re in luck!
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny certainly raises some questions. Like, did they copy/paste this premise from The Force Awakens? Why do all of Harrison Ford’s old characters now have terrible lives? How did Zoller survive without scratching the exact thing that took out Dennis Hopper in Speed? How do these bad guys know where to hang out? How hard was it for Helena to punch Indy to drag him from Ancient Greece all the way to New York City?
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny!
