We all know the short series Hawk eyewhich debuted during Holiday 2021, stars the title character, played by Jeremy RennerAND Hailee Steinfeld, which played Kate Bishop. They had great chemistry as a regular Joe-type superhero and his bold sidekick, a super fan of his with some badass skills with a bow and arrow. They played great with each other, but an actress also had her eye on the role, and as runners-up, we get to see Renner and Kathryn Newton featured in a short screentest of the pair together that has been released.
Newton obviously didn’t win the role, but she went on to play Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Maniaso everything still seemed to be working out for the actress.
