LEGO has a successful radical video experience at San Diego Comic-Con – Brickbuster Video

LEGO has revealed a great experience at San Diego Comic-Con that pays homage to Blockbuster Video. They set up a large Brickbuster Video booth at the San Diego convention center.

The booth was designed to take fans back to the 1990s, “when families took to their local video store to inspire their Friday night fun, opening LEGO® Brickbuster Video, an exclusive fan experience for SDCC 2023. Booth #2829 will showcase the many worlds, creations and possibilities of the LEGO brand under one fantastical and beautifully retro “showcase” showcasing your favorite entertainment and gaming properties alongside interactive photos and in-game moments.

It’s really cool and if you’re coming to Comic-Con this year, you have to check it out!

On LEGO Brickbuster Video, fans will find:

• Immersive retro video store experience, including beloved properties, interactive amusement and gaming kiosks

• More than 50 LEGO® building sets on display: NEW LEGO® Sonic the Hedgehog™, NEW LEGO® DreamZzz™, LEGO® Ninjago®, LEGO® Star Wars™, LEGO® Marvel and LEGO® Super Mario™ — plus a few more cameo !

• Get into photo ops with several life-size LEGO models, including some in a new ‘movie character’ style. LEGO Design Manager Pete Donner will be available to discuss how he has created photographic moments that fit the vibe of the video shop

• Hands-on LEGO® building opportunity for the family to create their own creations for the iconic ‘New Releases’ wall.

• Scavenger hunt throughout the convention with the familiar clamshell VHS case for fans to find and return, with prizes redeemable via the “Brick Drop” at the LEGO® Brickbuster Video info desk

• LEGO Store pop-up with the opportunity to purchase select LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog™, LEGO MARVEL™, LEGO Star Wars™, LEGO Super Mario™ sets ahead of their release date, plus a variety of other kids’ favorite LEGO sets fan

• Surprise giveaways including LEGO Brickbuster video tiles and exclusive pins

• Create your own complimentary minifigure with a limited edition LEGO Brickbuster video-themed torso

• Daily Shopping with the cast of LEGO DREAMZzz™ (Thursday 12:00), LEGO Masters judge Amy Corbett and Season 3 winner Stacey Roy (Friday 12:00) and the cast of LEGO Ninjago (Saturday 13:30)

• Q&A session with LEGO Design Manager and Master Builder Pete Donner Friday 5.30-6pm

In addition to the LEGO Brickbuster Video, attendees can explore their LEGO fandom through panels and an IMDb experience.

The LEGO Group will host two panels:
