Prime Video has released a new trailer for Amazon Studios’ fantasy epic The wheel of time Season 2. There has been a lot of excitement about the upcoming second season of the series and this trailer teases the legendary ‘Last Battle’. The first season of this series was great and it looks like the creative team behind the show will deliver another great season!
Season 2 is a loose adaptation of the second and third books in The Wheel of Time book series, and there are moments from the books that you’ll notice in the trailer, including Rand and Logain’s first meeting.
The description of the second season of The wheel of time reads: “Based on Robert Jordan’s hit fantasy series The Wheel of Time, Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski, Gran Turismo) discovers he is the dragon reborn, a dangerous figure from history destined to save the world… or Desperate to protect him from the Dark One, an army of powerful women must contend with his growing power and encroaching madness. The Wheel of Time turns and the Last Battle draws near. Even if Rand thought he had destroyed the Dark One, evil has not disappeared from the world. In season two, new and very old threats seek out the young friends of the Two Rivers, now scattered across the world. The woman who found and guided them is now unable to help them, so they must find other sources of strength in each other, or in themselves, in the light… or in the dark.
In The Wheel of Time, “The lives of five young villagers are changed forever when a strange and powerful woman arrives, claiming that one of them is the child of an ancient prophecy with the power to forever tip the balance between Light and Darkness. They must choose whether to entrust this stranger—and each other—with the fate of the world before the Dark One breaks out of his prison and the Last Battle begins.
The show is the protagonist Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney as Lan Mandragoran, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Zoë Robins like Nynaeve al’Meara, Magdalene Madden like Egwene al’Vere, Mark Rutherford such as Perrin Aybara, with Donald Finn replacement Barney Harris such as Mat Cauthon, e Ceara Coveney joining the cast as Elayne Trakand.
