Trailer for the MGM+ limited drama series THE WINTER KING Based on the Arthurian legends

An action-packed trailer for the MGM+ Limited Drama Series has been released The Winter King, based on ancient Arthurian legends. The ten-episode series is an adaptation by the author Bernard Cornwellwill star in the Warlord Chronicles novels Ian De Caestecker (Agents of SHIELD) as Arthur Pendragon. He is joined in the cast by Eddie Marsan as High King Uther; Ellie James as Nimue; Nathaniel Martello-White like Merlin; Stuart Campbell like Derfel; Daniele Eng like Owain; Valene Kane like Morgan; Jordan Alexandra like Geneva; Simon Merrell like Gundleo; Steven Elder as Bishop Bedwin; Andrew Gower like Sansum; Aneirin Hughes like Gorfydd; Emilia John as Ceinwyn; Tatiana Nardone as Lawwyss; Ken Nwosu like Sagramor; AND Billy Postletwaite like Cadwys.

The story is set in the fifth century, long before Britain was united in a brutal land of warring factions and tribes, where lives were often fleeting. The series follows Arthur Pendragon as he evolves from outcast to legendary warrior and leader.

Otto Bathurstwho drove the Taron Egerton-driven Robin Hood in 2018, he is director and executive producer of the series next door Toby Leslie.
