A new trailer has been released for the upcoming video game, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The game is due out next month and this trailer highlights the bloody brutality of the game. This game is going to be insanely violent.
The game is based on the classic Tobe Hopper-directed the 1974 film, and the game developers meticulously recreated that film’s locations for the game, characters, and other visuals. The trailer also “paints a vivid and bloody picture of the dangers and chaos that await players.”
The game takes place in the months leading up to the events of the original 1974 film and players “control victims or members of the Slaughter family in a ferocious 3v4 cat-and-mouse game that takes the tension and suspense of the film and repackages it into action electrifying and competitive.
The victims and the Slaughter family “must both use their unique abilities to prevail, as the former use stealth and intelligence to escape their fearsome captors, while each member of the Slaughter family wields brutal attacks and murder to hunt down the their prey.”
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on August 18th. This is going to be a messy game to play!
