The live action Super Goodies the series that has been in development at Warner Bros. TV for the last few years has been scrapped and is officially dead. TV Line reports, “that the live-action Super Goodies The series — which The CW sent back to the studio due to ownership/strategic changes to the netlet — is no longer in development at Warner Bros. TV.

Other in-development projects that aren’t moving forward on The CW include the proposed Arrowverse spinoff Justice Uinspired by Archie comics Jack Changand the guided woman Zorro restart. Those projects have been sent back to their respective studios and will have the opportunity to continue to develop and purchase them on other networks.

The Powerpuff Girls would join Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, “who were once America’s child superheroes but are now disillusioned 20-somethings who resent having lost their childhoods to crime-fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?

The cast included Agents of SHIELD‘S Cloe Bennet like Flower, Descendants‘ Dove Cameron as Broadway veteran Bubbles Yana Perrault such as Buttercup, e scrubs‘ Donald Faison as Professor Utonium, as well as other cast.

A pilot for the series was actually filmed, but it didn’t turn out to the studio’s liking, so the series would have to be reworked. After that, there was radio silence about the series. Former president of The CW Marco Pedowitz previously explained in 2021: “The reason you do the pilots is because, sometimes, things are missing, and that was just a mistake. We completely believe in the cast. We believe in Diablo [Cody] and Erica [Regnier], the writers. We believe in the auspices of Greg Berlanti and Warner [Bros. TV] Education”.

Pedowitz continued, “In this case, the pilot just didn’t work. But since we see there’s enough elements in there, we wanted to give it another shot. That’s why we didn’t want to go along with what we had. bit too campy. It didn’t feel as grounded in reality as it might have seemed. But then again, you learn things when you put them to the test. And so, in this case, we thought, let’s try step back and come back to the table from drawing”.

Well, they finally gave up and life goes on. It will go ahead without live-action Super Goodies series.
