Felicia Day has developed a new fantasy comedy series for Audible titled Third Eye. The film is described as a comedic love letter to the fantasy genre, and fan-favorite author Neil Gaiman is involved.
This is a scripted series written and created by Day (The Guild, Geeks & Various) and Gaiman (The Sandman) serves as narrator. The show will have “an abundance of iconic easter eggs from gaming and geek culture cleverly woven throughout the series.”
The series also has a great supporting cast which includes Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), LilyPichu (Offline TV), Wil Wheaton (Ready Player One), London Hughes (The Netflix after party), Danny Pudi (Mythical quest, Community), Alan Tudyk (Resident alien), Hudson Yang (Fresh off the boat) AND Judge Christopher (God of War).
The Audible Original tells the story of Laurel (Day), a “Chosen” wizard still grappling with the aftermath of failing a decade earlier in her fight with the evil Tybus (Judge). Our heroine is forced to overcome her tattered reputation and self-loathing to save her friends, eventually uncovering shocking secrets on her way to confronting old enemies. Along the way, Laurel meets characters including Kate Chen (LilyPichu), an eccentric human girl seeking knowledge of the supernatural world; Frank Fletcher (Astin), a cranky and headstrong vampire; Robigus (Wheaton), the local San Francisco enforcer for Tybus the Terrible and a constant thorn in Laurel’s side; and Sybil (London Hughes), an exiled fairy princess in her twenties who exemplifies the “hot mess”.
