Zack Snyder’s REBEL MOON gets a new look from Empire Magazine

We have a couple of new images to share with you Zack SnyderThe upcoming sci-fi action thriller rebel moon. Images courtesy of Empire Magazine in the form of a couple of covers. The first image features the average cast of characters, and the second image features the warrior robot Jimmy, who is adorned in his horned headdress.

The film was heavily influenced by Star Wars, and the story follows a group of rebel rebels who rise up to fight against a gigantic evil empire. It is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant. You can find out many more details about the series here.

There’s a previously released behind-the-scenes featurette you should check out here offering our best look at the film. We have yet to see a trailer for the film, but I imagine it will come very soon.

Snyder previously spoke about the project, saying, “This is me growing up like Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this too becomes a huge IP and a universe that can be built.”

This is a two part film and each part will have an R-rated edition for fans to watch as well. The film is the protagonist Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huismann, Anthony Hopkins, AND Alfonso Herrera.

Part before rebel moon is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on December 22 after a limited theatrical release.
