The fans really want it Alita: Battle Angel sequel to be made, and there’s definitely some movement on it. James Cameron, Roberto Rodríguezand producer Jon Landau they’ve really hyped this sequel over the last few months and everyone wants it to happen. Cameron and Rodriguez even took a blood oath to make it happen!

Wool Condorthe actress who played Koyomi Alita: Battle Angel he recently spoke about the film and teased the sequel that there’s a lot more to that world to explore, which I think we can all agree on. He told CB:

“When we shot Alita: Battle Angel, that whole world was so beautiful. I haven’t heard of any plans to continue that storyline, however, it’s really been something in my heart that I hope will restart the conversation. I feel like we can explore so much more of that world, and of course the original IP is vast.”

Well, the conversation has been started and it is something that is actively being worked on. Landau previously said, “We’re working on it” and shared:

“We’re very excited about that prospect. Alita is a film that even now having recently reviewed to what we had, we’re really proud of that film. And we think there are more stories to tell with her character and that’s why we want to go back to it.” .

The producer also explained that when they make the film, they will use the film technology that was created to help bring Avatar 2: The Water Way to life:

“I think what we’ve learned from Avatar is how much more facial nuance and subtlety we can put into characters that we want to be emotional and emotional that are humanoid. Alita would not have been possible, but for what we did on Avatar. Avatar: Way of Water would not be what it is, but what we did for Alita. And now let’s put it back and give it back to Alita. We are talking to Robert and talking to Rosa and all is well.

So, the wheels are in motion, things are happening! The creative team has a plan for the next chapter of the story as Cameron wrote 1000 pages of notes for an entire trilogy when they were originally planning it.

The movie is based on the manga series Gunnm Of Yukito Kishiro. The story is set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita is found in the Iron City junkyard by Ido, a compassionate cyber-doctor who takes the unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens, he has no memory of who he is, nor does she have any recognition of the world he is in. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to protect her from her. mysterious past.

I’m sure when they actually get the project greenlit, they’ll update Condor on what’s going on.
