Well, while The flash it was an entertaining film that provided great entertainment, the film is bombing at the box office and could end up losing Warner Bros. $200 million by the end of its run at the box office.

During its opening weekend, the film grossed a disappointing $55 million at the domestic box office. In its second weekend, it dropped 72% to just $15.3 million. Hence, The Flash is turning into a major box office bomb. I was curious to see how this film would fare at the box office, especially after all the insane drama surrounding it. Despite all the hype, a lot of people just weren’t interested.

According to the reporter at the box office Louis Fernando, the film is estimated to have earned $280-310 million globally in its theatrical run. When you compare that to the film’s $200-220 million production budget, $150 million in marketing, and the fact that the studios don’t take all of their box office loot, the film could lose $200 million to Warner Bros. Fernando he also thinks they may have lost less money by releasing it on Max or by not releasing it at all.

It looks like DC Studios is in trouble. With a movie like The flash box office bombing, it’s safe to assume thatt Blue beetle AND Aquaman and the lost kingdom they won’t do so well at the box office either.

I think audiences have gotten so burned by DC movies over the years that maybe they just gave up. James Gunn AND Peter Safran they certainly have their work cut out for them because they basically need to rebuild the brand into something that the public wants to invest their time and money into. It will not be easy. Hell, even Gunn’s Superman: Legacy it’s not guaranteed to be a box office hit! Although he’s a great director, he pissed off a lot of fans by cutting Henry Cavill’s Superman.

It will be interesting to watch and see what happens to DC Studios as it evolves under the leadership of Gunn and Safran.
