

‘Venom 3’ would have strong link with Mexico through celebration – Sony Pictures (Sony)
Once again, the world of cinema will bring Mexican traditions to the big screen. After the resounding success of Released Venom: Carnage, Sony has given the green light to the third chapter of this saga starring the talented Tom Hardy and the peculiar symbiote. And now, as filming approaches, the first images of the location have revealed a surprising connection to Mexico and its iconic Day of the Dead.
Over the past weekend, the leaked images started circulating on social networks. In them we can appreciate walls full of paintings and altars that undoubtedly refer to this important celebration of Mexican culture. However, what is most striking is that although the film will set some of its scenes on the Day of the Deadfilming will not take place in Mexico.
Another tweet revealed graffiti with phrases in Spanish, suggesting the city of Cartagena, Spain will be used represent a Mexican city in Venom 3.
As reported Murci today, the Spanish city will be the first stop in the filming of Venom 3. This week the production of the film will begin, and for this a large machinery and a technical team have been installed in the streets of this picturesque neighborhood. Some local inhabitants have even been hired to collaborate in making the places safe, receiving a daily fee of 80 to 90 euros.
Tate Aráez, director of production of the film, explained that Cartagena was chosen for the similarities of its streets with those of Mexicowhich will allow for an authentic recreation of the desired atmosphere and scenarios.

After the farewell of Andy Serkis, director of Carnage released, Sony has confirmed that it wants to Kelly Marcel as director of Venom 3, who has already written the screenplays for the previous films in the series. In turn, there has been speculation about the identity of the villain that our protagonists will have to face.
