Here are a couple of videos of Wild Adam’S Tested which were filmed at Wonderfest 2023. Norman Chan met with a couple of model makers who created a couple of amazing Star Wars models. The first one comes from Jason Eaton and is a perfect model of an X-Wing. The second one comes from John Sabean, and is a massive 5-foot-long Rebel Blockade Runner!
X-wing:
For the past two decades, veteran modeler Jason Eaton has been building studio-scale X-Wing models in an effort to create the perfect replica of the miniatures used in filming Star Wars. From community sourced kits to ground up originals, Jason iterated his X-Wing builds countless times, each build using new measurements and references. At WonderFest 2023, Jason brings his latest build Red 1 X-Wing – the pinnacle of his modeling journey and one he’s finally happy with!
Rebel Blockade:
We just returned from WonderFest, an annual scale modeling convention, where we met John Sabean and his five-foot-long Rebel Blockade Runner model! This build, which took the better part of a decade to complete, recreates the massive studio scale model ILM built for the Star Wars opening sequence. John and his collaborators meticulously recreated the miniature using as many original kit parts as possible and updated it to take advantage of modern electronics and 3D printing.
