Last year, fans rose to arms when it was revealed that Melissa McBridewho played Carol on the entire run of AMC’s hit series, Walking Deadhad dropped out of the spinoff series that had been centered around Carol and Daryl (Norman Redus). Blame was unfairly placed on Reedus as the reason AMC was moving forward with a Daryl-only storyline, but at the time, it was purely McBride’s choice to exit the project. But AMC and co-star Jeffrey Dean Moranwho played Negan in the hit series, has released statements to help set the record straight.
Now it’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan again who is revealing that McBride is actually returning to play Carol in the Untitled Daryl Dixon series at AMC. She the actress has said ever since her departure that she would probably eventually return to her role, but no one expected that to happen right away!
Morgan tweeted a photo of the pair and said the following:
“Well good. Sorry Norman…for telling you a load of crap when we thought Melissa wasn’t doing the show! Damn…this must have been in the works for ages! (It was from the beginning). Damn, that’s great seeing these two together! can’t wait!”
Check it out below and let us know if you’re excited about this spin-off series!
