Last week was the film’s big red carpet premiere Indiana Jones and Dial of Fatethe last and final Harrison Fordsequel led in the adventure series. The opening took place on the 42nd anniversary of Raiders of the Lost Arkthe first film in the series released in 1981.

“I’m old enough that it came out when I was a teenager,” Mikkelsen shared. “I didn’t go to the movies. I waited for it to come out on DVD and my brother and I rented it along with five other movies and ended up watching Indiana Jones five times.”

Wilson added, “I probably first watched it as a kid with my brother and maybe my dad on an old AMC channel in Brooklyn, and I was just fascinated by the adventure and the stunts and the scope of what the movie”.

When asked if they freaked out when they saw Harrison Ford in the classic Indy suit, Holbrook replied, “Yeah. It’s pretty surreal.” Wilson added, “I freaked out watching because I don’t think he got into the suit when I was shooting with them.” Holbrook explained, “Yeah. The first time, he was in Sicily and he was just hanging on the wall, just leaning, just hanging out.”

“It was on this day that I went to see it in Middletown, New York at the Orange County Cinema. I was just at the first matinee. And I was blown away,” Mangold shared. “He’s crazy,” he added when asked how it feels to make your own Indy movie. “I mean, on the simplest level, if you go back to the 17-year-old sitting there, I knew I wanted to be a director, even though seeing Raiders just galvanized that feeling. But if you told me that I’d make a movie with those people on screen, it would blow my mind.”

When Harrison Ford Asked if he remembered what fans were thinking on opening night for the original film, he explained:

“I don’t remember what people thought. I remember what I thought. I remember there was that pleasure. There was pleasure. There was laughter, there was popcorn being sold, and people were happy and families were leaving. I was very excited .”

This is such a beloved franchise and early reviews are saying this movie will be a lot of fun for fans! The film will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023. Can’t wait to see Indy again in theaters?
