Netflix has shared a promotional video for Wednesday Season 2 and into it, the young cast members talk about some of the theories fans hope to see season 2 addressed.
The video features Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay) e Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin). The theories they turn to include Crackstone’s Ring, The Hyde Master, Weems & Lurch and Wednesday’s Family.
She also revealed that next season will introduce a new member of the Addams Family, but they don’t share what it’s like.
When previously offering insight into the next chapter of the story, Ortega said he will lean into the horror of the story. He explained, “We decided we wanted to delve a little more into the horror aspect of the show. Because it’s so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don’t want to take itself too seriously. Ortega went on to say, “We’re dropping any romantic love interests for Wednesday, which is pretty awesome.”
The series tells the twisted comedic coming-of-age story about “a supernatural, investigative mystery chronicling Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery involving her parents 25 years ago, all while navigating her tangled new relationships in Nevermore .
The show was created by Smallville creators Al Gough AND Miles Millartogether with the director Tim Burton. Burton is expected to return for a second season.
I really enjoyed the first season of this series and can’t wait to see what the second season will bring. We’ll just have to wait a bit.
