General Mills Announces First New Monster Cereal in 35 Years With ‘Carmella Creeper’

General Mills has announced a new monster cereal that will join its Cereal Monsters range this Halloween. The new character’s name is “Carmella Creeper” and she joins Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute.

These classic cereals have been an annual Halloween staple since the early 1970s, and this is the first new monster cereal introduced since the arrival of Yummy Mummy in 1988. That’s 35 years!

Carmella Creeper is a zombie-themed character and is the first female cereal monster in the history of the brand. The green colored cereal flavor is caramel apple.

General Mills said: “Carmella Creeper is Franken Berry’s long lost cousin as well as a zombie DJ with an edgy sound who is always the life of the party. Complete with a fierce attitude and look to match, Carmella is ready to shake things up in the monster haunted house with her limited edition cereal featuring candy apple flavored chunks with colorful monster marshmallows.

“The gang is even reuniting for the launch of Monster Mash Remix Cereal: a mix of all six flavors of Monsters Cereals (Carmella Creeper, Frute Brute, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Franken Berry and Yummy Mummy).”

This year’s full Monsters Cereals line-up includes Carmella Creeper, Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry and Monster Mash Remix Cereal for five different ways to enjoy their creepy goodness.
