Ocean’s Eleven: Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling to star in ‘The Big Con’ prequel after ‘Barbie’ – AP (Agency)
Get ready for a high-voltage blockbuster! Despite the turmoil currently plaguing the Hollywood film industry due to the writers’ strike, there are several projects underway and more in the pipeline. One of them is the long-awaited Prequel to “Ocean’s Eleven”, probably with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling; the news could be confirmed before the premiere of ‘Barbie’.
According to the production slate, cameras will begin rolling on June 30 to bring this new installment to the big screen. Warner Bros. will present an original film which will take place in Europe during the vibrant 60s. Although it has not been revealed if there will be a direct connection to the famous film starring George Clooney, expectations are sky high.
The director chosen to lead this exciting project is jay, known for his work on sagas such as Austin Powers and Meet the Parents, as well as acclaimed dramas Trumbo and Bombshell. But that’s not all, since the real trump card is the choice of the leading duo: Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, who showed their talent in the film Barbie and are now rapidly joining forces again.
In a recent interview, director Roach revealed that while the central theme will remain the heist, love will play a prominent role in the plot. Robbie and Gosling will play a couple determined to take control of the yacht of a powerful tycoon, immersing the audience in an exciting game of seduction and mystery.

Warner Bros. will confirm production this month with the finished script
Inspired by classics like To Catch a Thief (1955) and Notorious (1946), the project promises to be a dazzling cinematic extravaganza, filled with intrigue, glamor and fast-paced action. The combination of Robbie’s good looks and talent with Gosling’s magnetic charisma promises to be explosive on the big screen.
Even though the script is ready and production is underway, we can’t help but cross our fingers that no setbacks interrupt the filming. However, there is a rumor that is making its way through Hollywood halls: the possibility of an actors’ strike which could cripple the industry completely. It would be a blow to movie buffs eager to see Robbie and Gosling in action together.
