Chris Hemsworth on criticism of Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino: ‘I guess they are not my fans’ – Disney (Marvel Studios)
Breakout actor Chris Hemsworth is currently in the midst of a promotional campaign for ‘Tyler Rake 2’, the long-awaited sequel to one of the most-watched movies in Netflix’s history. During this intense promotion, he granted several interviews, highlighting one in particular with the GQ magazinein which addressed the criticisms leveled by famous directors Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino towards the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It was really disheartening to hear that,” Hemsworth said.
Despite the disappointment the actor stressed that both Scorsese and Tarantino remain his heroes and that I would not hesitate to collaborate with them in the future. However, she expressed sadness at the comments, mentioning:
I guess they’re not my fans.”
Moreover, Chris Hemsworth shared his perspective on the impact of Marvel films on the film industry:
I’m grateful that I was part of something that made people go to the movies. However, I cannot say whether these films have negatively affected other productions. I don’t like us criticizing each other when there is so much fragility in the industry and in this art space.”
However, Hemsworth too admitted that in “Thor: Love and Thunder” they went a little too fargiven that “We had too much fun and it got a little silly.” He revealed that he has also received criticism from his children’s friends, who, at just eight years old, told him:
We think this movie has too much humor, the action was great, but the visual effects weren’t great.”

Furthermore, he revealed that for the time being, He’s not particularly interested in returning to work with Marvel, since his contractual relationship with the studio has come to an end.
Now I want to explore other things for a while.”
However, doesn’t rule out the possibility of returning as the god of thunder in the future, although it will depend on the creative proposals that Marvel has to offer the character. Perhaps he would even consider killing off the character, an idea he himself proposed a few months ago.
Actually, Chris Hemsworth is trying to take a more relaxed approach to his career after several years of always knowing which movies he was going to be in for the next 2-3 years. Your family is your number one priority and any project you take on needs to be something “useful and worthy of my time”.
