SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE had huge overnight premiere box office numbers

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse got off to a flying start with the huge box office haul it had preview night. It exceeded expectations with $16 million, which is the second-highest nightly previews for an animated film, behind The Incredibles 2.

There were very high expectations for this movie, and it 100% delivers all the beauty that the fans were hoping for and the movie is going to make an unbelievable amount of money. Incredibles 2 holds the record for the highest opening weekend box office for an animated film and ultimately grossed more than $1.2 billion, making it one of the most successful animated films ever.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse had an opening weekend of $35 million, and went on to earn $375 million worldwide and win Best Animated Feature at the 91st Academy Awards. This sequel is sure to top those numbers, and it will be interesting to see what those final numbers turn out to be.

The sequel follows Miles Morales as he is “immersed in the multiverse where he joins forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-folk to take on a villain more powerful than anything they’ve ever encountered.”

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, “the friendly Brooklyn neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he meets a team of Spider-People charged with protecting his very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Make sure you go out and watch the movie when you get the chance! It’s so much fun and it lives up to the hype!
