Student Doc Ock Makes Debut in SPIDER-MAN: ACORSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Spin-Off Manga

There’s a Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spin-off manga in development by the team behind it My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Hideyuki Furuhashi AND Court Bettenand tells a rather interesting story.

The story centers on the Spider-Man villain, Doctor Octopus, who falls into a coma. When he wakes up, Doc Ock finds himself inhabiting the body of Otoha Okutamiya…a Japanese middle school student.

Sounds like a wildly playful Doc Ock story I’m interested in reading! If you read the Spider-Man comics, you know this isn’t the first time the villain has been in someone else’s body. The Superior Spider-Man saw Ock take over Peter Parker’s body in an attempt to prove that he could be a better Spider-Man than his enemy.

The manga will be released on the Shonen Jump+ app on June 20. You can check out the first released artwork from the Spider-Verse spin-off manga below:
