Sasha Calle takes on the role of Supergirl in the upcoming DC film The flash, and I thought she was amazing in the role! I liked what she brought to the character and she has some pretty badass action in the film.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Calle shared that she had the opportunity to meet Henry Cavillwho played Superman Zack Snyderand got his stamp of approval after seeing the film, which explores the idea of a world without Superman. She said:
I actually met him after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug. You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our man of steel. He’s nice and very correct, and it was a great experience. I asked him, “I made you proud, why? Does Superman approve?” And he said, “Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.” I think it meant the world to me, because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”
I guess it was a really cool experience for the actress to meet Cavill. It’s sad that we will never see him again as the Man of Steel. I know James Gunn he has his own vision of the hero in which he wants to explore Superman: Legacy, but fans were excited to see Cavill’s vision of a brighter, more hopeful Superman! Now we will never get to see it.

The film is directed by Andy Muschietti, and is the protagonist Ezra Miller as Barry Allan aka The Flash Michael Keatonis Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, Ben Affleck like Batman, e Michael Shannon like Zod, with Ron Livingstone AND Maribel Verduwho play Barry’s parents. Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls) and internet personalities Rudy Mancuso will also appear.
The flash will be released on June 16, 2023.
