Rick and Michonne spin-off series WALKING DEAD has finished production

Walking Deadit’s coming Rick and Michonne Filming on the spin-off series has officially wrapped. The announcement came from the creative team behind the series, which it is currently headlined Summit, and shared the news on Twitter and showed appreciation to the fans who have kept the franchise alive all these years. This note reads:

“Thank you for creating the next world of The Walking Dead with us. Your talent, energy and enthusiasm were what helped us through it all, bringing home a story that spanned more than a decade! This one history will live on and our work with it; we are the ones who live.

The series centers on the fan-favorite characters that Rick and Michonne are with Andrew Lincoln AND Danai Gurira reprising their roles. This was originally planned as a film trilogy but was then reworked as a six-episode series.

The series features “an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Separated by distance. From an unstoppable power. From the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, one built on a war against the dead…and finally, a war against the living. Will they be able to find each other and who they were in a different place and situation than they have ever known before? Are they enemies? lovers? Victims? Winners? Without each other, are they still alive or will they discover that they too are The Walking Dead?

This is the only spin-off series I’m looking forward to because these were two of my favorite characters and they had one of the coolest story arcs. So, it will be nice to see their story come to an end in this upcoming series.
