The poster for Netflix’s live-action series ONE PIECE shows the ship going merrily

Netflix has released a new poster for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the hit manga series A piece. The poster features the iconic ship from the series called Going Merry. This is the first pirate ship owned by the Straw Hat Pirates.

One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Inaki Godoy) and his crew of pirates as they explore a fantasy world of endless oceans and exotic islands in search of the world’s greatest treasure known as “One Piece” to become the next Pirate King.

The other main characters include Zoro (Mackenyu), nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) and Sanji (Taz Skylar).

The ship was donated to the Straw Hats for defending Syrup Village against the Black Cat Pirates. “Over time, he became loved by the crew as a home and as a friend, so much so that she eventually developed a life of his own and became a true member of the crew. Unfortunately, the Going Merry has taken an inordinate amount of damage during her “lifetime”, being blown up, impaled, cut into pieces multiple times, and partially eaten by Wapol. Eventually, Merry could no longer continue and after helping the Straw Hat crew escape from Enies Lobby, she was given a Viking funeral.

Steven Meda is co-writer, showrunner and executive producer of the series along with Matt Owens, who is also a co-writer and executive producer. The series is also starring Morgan Davis (The Wicked Dead) like Koby, Ilia Isorelys Paulino (The sex lives of college girls) as Alvida, Aidan Scott (Action point) like Helmeppo, Jeff Ward (Tricks) such as Stroller, McKinley Belcher III (Ozarks) as Arlong, e Vincent Regano (Troy) as Garp.

The 10-episode series comes from Shueisha, publisher of Tomorrow Studios and One Piece.
