The Fast Saga is practically out of gas, but Fast X it’s the beginning of the end for the franchise. We’re going to have two more movies, and with those movies comes the return of franchise characters from the past. If you have seen Fast X, you know it comes with some surprises. According to the director Louis Letterier (Clash of the titans, The Incredible Hulk), the surprise appearances included in Fast X it was just the beginning.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, there are spoilers ahead:
While marketing for Fast Xthe studio has managed to keep some things a secret, including the return of Gal GadotIt is Gisele who shows up in a submarine to rescue her Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty e Charlize Theronby Cypher. Then there was Dwayne Johnsonit’s Luke Hobbs, who showed up in the post-credits scene. This was Hobbs’ first Fast & Furious I’ve been waiting since 2017 The fate of the furious.
Speaking with CB, Leterrier addressed the surprise returns in the film and teased what’s to come, saying:
“The thing with this is, we’re getting close to the end. We’ve been very open that this is the end of the road and we’re getting close to the end. So there’s no character that isn’t being talked about or talked about. All in this franchise, literally, as you’ve seen, are mentioned or seen. Just to tell you, this is just the beginning. You’ll see. That’s all I have to say. You’ll see.”
It’ll be fun to see who they’ll come back to for the last two films in the franchise, but this last film wasn’t very good. It’s sad to think that this franchise could end on a low note for me. I know some fans are enjoying the latest installment, which is great, but it was the hardest for me to get through.
