New Look at Michael Keaton’s Epic Return as Batman in ‘The Flash’

The wait is coming to an end for fans of the DC Extended Universe, as ‘The Flash’, the long-awaited film centering on the iconic character played by Ezra Miller, is approaching the big screen. And best of all,Michael Keaton will return as Batman wearing the mythical suit that made him immortal in films directed by Tim Burton!

This time, the plot of the film will be based on the popular Flashpoint comic saga, where Barry Allen alters the timeline by saving his mother’s life. The consequences of this act will change the course of history as we know it. In this new timeline, Barry finds himself trapped in a world where General Zod is alive and threatening to destroy planet Earth.

The problem is that in this alternate reality there are no superheroes to turn to to deal with this terrible situation, unless Barry can convince a Batman very different from him coming out of retirement and helping to rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian. However, this Batman may not be exactly what Barry is looking for.

Michael Keaton returns to his DC character after decades of absence

No doubt, the film’s biggest draw will be seeing Michael Keaton play Batman again, more than three decades after his last appearance in the role. Although we have already glimpsed it briefly in the promotional trailers of the film, we can now enjoy a new official image of “The Flash” shared by Discuss cinema, where we can appreciate Keaton’s Batman in detail. And it looks amazing!

But Keaton won’t be the only Batman in the film, as we’ll also see Ben Affleck reprise his role as dark Knight. This should be the last time Affleck will play the character in the DC Extended Universe, adding even more excitement to the project.

In addition to Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, the cast of ‘The Flash’ will include the participation of talented actors such as Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdú and Temuera Morrison, among others, which promises a full star cast.
