Wild Adam has released a new video on Tested in which he learns how modern stop-motion puppets are made. I’m a huge fan of the art of stop-motion animation and the movies they’re making these days using that medium are incredibly impressive.
There is so much work that goes into making these films, the process is tedious, but the resulting results are unlike anything else made. I love that it’s just handmade art. The video came with the following note:
Adam and master stop-motion animator Tom “Gibby” Gibbons dive deep into the crafting and animation of the Cyclops creature that Tippett Studio created for the show Poker Face! From the machined-in armor to the hand-crafted body and assembled parts, Adam learns how old and new processes blend to make these monsters an on-screen menace.
Check out the video below and let us know what you think of the art of stop-motion animation.
