This week’s dark retro trailer is for the 1972 killer amphibious horror thriller frogs! The film was directed by George McCowan and stars Sam Elliott, Ray Milland, Adam Roarke, David GilliamAND Nicholas Cortland.

The film follows a group of helpless victims as they celebrate a birthday on an island teeming with amphibians, birds, insects and killer reptiles. Gotta love a movie about evil killer frogs! Here is the synopsis of the film:

Unsurprisingly, grumpy Southern chemist baron Jason Crockett (Milland) isn’t too concerned about the environment. When Pickett Smith (Elliott), a wildlife photographer in the area, comes across the snakebitten corpse of Crockett’s gardener, who has been sent to spray pesticides, he knows something is wrong. Smith attempts to warn Crockett and his family about postponing the 4th of July celebrations as the local animals start behaving strangely, but Crockett stubbornly refuses.

This movie offers ridiculous fun and it’s great to watch a young Sam Elliott in the movie! He’s come a long way since Frogs! You can see the trailer and the full movie below.
