Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Tom Holland AND Amanda Seyfriedthe upcoming crime thriller series by The crowded room. The story is set in 1970s New York City and follows a young man who is arrested for a shooting. Things get complicated when it’s revealed that he has memory problems and now we suddenly don’t know if he’s telling the truth or hiding something.
The crowded room follows Danny Sullivan (Holland), “a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A gripping thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), the story of Danny’s life unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him and the twists and turns that lead to a life-changing revelation.
Tihs looks like it will be an interesting mystery and crime thriller series. From what I understand this series is inspired by Billy Milligan, who is the first person ever acquitted of a crime due to multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder.
The crowded room is a 10-episode limited series by Akiva Goldman (A brilliant mind). Holland also executive produces and the ensemble cast includes Emmy Rossum (Shameless), Sasha Lane (Loki), He will chase (Stupid), AND Lior raz (Fauda), with guest stars Jason Isaac (Harry Potter), Christopher Abbot (First man), Thomas Sadoski (The editorial staff), AND Zachary Golinger (Bad).
The crowded room will stream on Apple TV+ on June 9.
