Here is a trailer for an upcoming Vegas-set comedy titled Back on the Strip. The film centers on an old group of male strippers who reunite for a revival of their Las Vegas show, ‘The Chocolate Chips’. They are trying to help a friend, a magician named Merlin, who is sent to Las Vegas by his mother to pursue his dream of becoming a professional magician. As you can imagine, his career takes a very different turn.
The film comes from the writer and director Chris Spencerand movie stars Wesley Snipes, JB Smoove, Gary Owen, Bill Bellami, Faizon Love, Spence Moore II, Tiffany HaddishAND Raigan Harris. Here is the synopsis:
After losing the woman of his dreams, Merlin (Spence Moore II) moves to Las Vegas to work as a magician, only to be hired to front a revival of the infamous group of black strippers, known as “The Chocolate Chips.” Led by Luther—now broken and broken—the old, tame, out-of-shape Chips put their previous conflicts aside and reunite to save the hotel they were performing at while helping Merlin win back his girlfriend and his career .
Back on the Strip will be released in theaters on August 18, 2023.
