Netflix has released an announcement trailer for Birdhouse Barcelonawhich is a film set in the same world as the Sandra Bullock post-apocalyptic thriller, Bird box. The first movie was a big hit for Netflix and told the story of people trying to survive a world overrun by horrific never-before-seen creatures that drive people crazy if they look at them. To survive, people are forced to wear bandages.
In Birdhouse Barcelona“After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population forcing all who see it to take their lives, Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must face their journey of survival through the desolate streets of Barcelona. But as they form an uneasy alliance with other survivors and make their way to a safe haven, a threat more sinister than the unseen creatures grows.”
Producer DylanClark he said in a statement: “Our world has never been more interconnected. To explore the phenomenon that is Bird box with David and Alex Pastor following the people who survived in Barcelona it’s a timely opportunity to not only entertain but also show how dependent we all are on each other.
These films are based on the novel by Josh Malmanand this upcoming film is written and directed by Alex AND David Shepherd (The occupier, the boss) and cast characteristics Mario Casas, Georgina Campbell, Diego Calva, Alexandra Howard, Naila Schuberth, Patrick Criado, Celia Freijeiro with Lola Dueñas, Gonzalo de Castro, Michael Jenner AND Leonardo Sbaraglia.
It was also announced that Birdhouse Barcelona will be released on Netflix on July 14th.
