Shudder has released a trailer for a great new social media-inspired horror thriller titled Influencersfrom which it derives Spiral director, Kurtis David Harder. I’ve actually had the opportunity to watch the movie before, and it’s a solid movie worth checking out!

“Influencers tells the story of Madison (Emilia Tennant), “a popular social media influencer who is taking a lonely and quiet trip to Thailand despite what she tells her Instagram followers. As she reflects on her boyfriend canceling the trip, she meets CW (Cassandra Naud), a fearless and enigmatic traveler who offers to take her to some of the most Instagram-worthy spots. Together they share authentic meals and drinks with locals, discussing the differences between Madison’s online presence and the CW’s lack.”
After showing Madison all the incredible sights, “things take a different turn when The CW takes her to a surprise location: a deserted island that’s completely off the grid.”
As I said in my review: “It’s hard to delve into the story without screwing anything up. But the movie didn’t turn out the way I thought it would and I loved it for it. The story turned out much better than I expected it to turn out. He was very creative in how the story unfolded.
Influencers start streaming May 26th, only on Shudder and AMC+. The film is definitely a must see!
