Director James Gunn is about to unveil its final chapter of the MCU with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3and he is the protagonist of the film, Chris Pratt, who plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the films, sat down with Collider to talk about the franchise and the film. One of the interesting and rather sad things asked of them in the interview was what they thought Star-Lord’s future would look like if the original Gamora were still alive in this film. How could his journey have been different?

Pratt replied:
“Oh, I think they were in love. I think the natural next step is that they would start a family and be happy to be together I suppose.
But then he thought better of it, saying:
“Yeah, he probably would have blown everything though. She would have screwed it up somehow. I hope otherwise this wouldn’t be a great movie.
Gunn later joked:
“He would have befriended Adam Warlock like he does in the comics.”
Pratt quipped:
“Oh, that would be good for them. It would be nice.
Of course we can’t really know what that would have been like because there are so many other story branches that could have taken over between then and now in the MCU. Perhaps she would have fallen victim to the snap! Who knows? What we do have now though is an angry alternate Gamora, and hopefully she will learn to love Peter Quill again.
