We are just days away from the final chapter of the Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise. When the film concluded, it meant an emotional farewell for the entire cast and crew, who knew this final film would be the end of an era for the Guardians as we know them. Not only were the main cast members able to attend the farewell, but the newcomer to the story, Maria Bakalovawho played Cosmo the Spacedog in both Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Specialas well as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3she was able to be there when the film ended, and recently spoke to ComicBook about the experience, saying:

“Yeah, well it made me cry on the last day because I had to be there on the last day. My last day of shooting was the last day of Guardians of the Galaxy he resumed. And everyone was there and everyone was crying, and I was crying about the feeling that I was having. Why imagine having all these people together for ten years and sharing their lives and their careers and absolutely everything, and why James is such a great mind that he only brings together good human beings. So it looks like a family.
“I know they won’t part with each other. Hopefully, I won’t part with them either, but this movie in this shape and form won’t continue, maybe. I don’t know. It’s not my job to say. So it’s It was very, very sad, actually, bittersweet, because it’s like I don’t want it to end, but maybe it’s the next chapter in the book.
Bakalova was also asked about filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 differed from Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. She answered:
“We basically shot them together. It wasn’t that different because I was in the middle of filming with all these people. Guardians it’s like a whole story. The special was more of a special that I don’t think has ever been done before, our holiday special. And it was just amazing, both experiences, which for me was basically a completely connected experience.”
