Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) will star in a psychological thriller titled Computer. The film was written and directed by Nissar Modi (Z for Zacharian), who will be making his big-screen directorial debut.

The project is based on a short story by the late novelist Rachel Ingalls, and in it, “a wealthy woman’s carefully constructed life is turned upside down by a young man connected to a well-kept secret from his past.”
The film is staged at XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures, with financing from XYZ Films. XYZ Films has also added “Reckoner” to its New Visions film slate and will buy the project at Cannes. New Visions is “designed to spotlight new voices alongside established talent who are treading a new path in the international space.”
Modi said in a statement: “I am delighted to be working with the immensely talented Christina Hendricks on this haunting tale of guilt, obsession and revenge. It’s a film I’ve envisioned for many years since reading Rachel Ingalls’ outstanding short story, and I’m thrilled to finally bring it to life thanks to the ever-supportive teams at XYZ Films and Two and Two.
Mila Cottray, head of production and finance at Two & Two Pictures, added: “We are thrilled to be working with this wonderful team on ‘Reckoner’, a film that reminds us of many of our favorite psychological thrillers, such as ‘Cape Fear’ or ‘Nocturnal Animals’ but offers a stylized, contemporary twist to the genre that is distinctly Nissar.

While Hendricks is best known for her role as Joan Harris in the AMC series Mad Menhe also starred in the NBC series Good girlsand has appeared in films such as Neon Demon, Guide AND American woman. She also voiced the role of Gabby in Gabby Story of the toy 4and will soon be visible in the Apple+ series The buccaneers.
