Mortal combat 12 it was announced earlier this year during an earnings call and fans were hoping for pretty much any news. NetherRealm Studios recently gave them only the smallest of teases. The team launched a video thanking fans for 30 years of the franchise. Mortal combat co-creator Ed Boon he’s the last one to thank everyone, he says more are coming and then we get a teaser of about 10 seconds.

In the teaser we find ourselves inside an hourglass with falling sand. Next, we zoom in on a single grain of sand until it explodes. This seems to show some sort of connection to Kronika, who played a huge role Mortal combat 11. What do you think exploding sand indicates? Could it be an entire timeline being destroyed?
We don’t have a release date for Mortal combat 12 although it is said to be released this year.
